Mr. David L. Retland is a retired Senior Executive from the Office of the Director for National Intelligence (ODNI). Prior to joining the ODNI, he served at various agencies including the Smithsonian Institution, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Executive Office of the President (EOP), White House, Department of Defense (DoD), and twenty years in the United States Air Force (USAF), Civil Engineering Service. Mr Retland has served on many Boards and Commission and currently serves as the Chairman of the Marshall Heights Development Corporation, one of the largest and oldest African American led Community Development Corporation (CDC) in the District of Columbia.
Mr. Retland is a Senior Fellow of the Harvard Kennedy School Government (KSG). He also holds a Master of Arts in Procurement/Acquisition/Federal Contracting, Webster University, Bacholar of Science in Applied Management, and a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (USAF) and several profession certifications.
He is married to Felicia A. Retland. They have two children, Nicole Retland (PhD), Howard University. David, Retland a Judge Advocate General (JAG), with the United States Army. Mr. Retland is a resident of Ward 7, in the District of Columbia.
